as i triumphanty finished the last ruffle stitch, one of my favorite etta james songs crescendoed in my head. that of course, being "at last".
well, i now have a hook hand after 16 ruffles (read a total of 5,808 stitches on number 3's) and 2 double ruffles (read 2,904 total stitches on same said near-toothpicks) this on top of 16,830 stitches for the scarf itself. however, i can still 10-key like a maniac. all's well that ends well.
great hera what will i do with a scarf in april living in california? well, it can get chilly at night and sojourns to oakland and berkeley can be a bit crisp even during the day. i took a yarn sojourn today to article pract in oakland. bless my gnarled hands that place was nirvana! what a funky dive! fabu yarns, terrific selection of books, periodicals, needles and goodies- kitschy & hip. if i was rollin' in dough, that is just the kind of yarn store i'd open in this sleepy town of mine.
well, fellow earthlings, in the words of kip dynamite - peace out.
