a pirates life for me

let the madness begin

"what did i get myself into?", i often wonder. am i destined to repeat the same crafting mistakes of my past? will knitting become yet another notch on my crafting belt and ultimately end up in my 'craft cabinet of shame'? no, no, no!! not this time! cos i've got a fever, and the only cure is more YARN! such are the humdrum thoughts which occur a the day in the life of a chronic craftinista.

i'm sure every knitter has their fave yarn. my weakness happens to be for koigu painter's palette premium merino (KPPPM). i first saw it's lovely hue in stitch n bitch for the big bad baby blanket. though i had no skills yet, i immediately sought kpppm p118L on every on line yarn site until i discovered there were apparently only 5 left in north america. so, i got them all (or so i think). now.. what to do? i don't have enough for that baby blanket and i'm not into making them into socks. i certainly don't want to pick the wrong project which will use up my precious stash. maybe i'll just put those sweet lil twisted hanks into a plexiglass case with gallery lighting! that's a little lame though, innit? so, i've decided to make a
scarf using one or two skeins of my precious yarn.

knitting is a bit wacky, a bit zen and has allowed me to make new friendships.
livermore fingers of fury for me it's like the new yoga! plus, it's a great outlet for my creative juices. if this is the path to madness i think i'll stop to paw the yarn.

cheers!
