update on heart hat giftee kathi. unfortunately kathi passed away earlier this week. i do know that the hat gave her comfort and joy. i feel so fortunate, though i never met kathi, that i was able to touch her life in a positive way during a difficult time. she leaves a husband and 13 yo son behind. i feel compelled to do something nice for the son as i know too well what it is like to lose a parent quite young as an only child. any ideas are greatly appreciated!
